Releasing a Sales Order with Power Automate (Dynamics 365 -Business Central)

I'm beginning to try to use Power Automate, first thing I'd like to do is make a one-button sale for a commonly sold item.

I have succeeded at generating a new sales order, and populating the lines (fairly confident I'll be able to play around with inputs at these stages in the future) - but cannot figure out how to release the SO.

So I have not been able to proceed with creating a warehouse pick, picking it, shipping it, then posting it.

Have attached a screenshot of limited options for Sales Orders in Actions (have also tried using "Update a Record" - does not let me change status as it s read-only) and a screenshot of the 'Release' button in an SO.

Any advice/help would be much appreciated!

    Hello,

If you do not get further traction from the community, feel free to raise this issue to Microsoft via your partner or CSP.

    Thanks.

I think you have to create a custom API to be able to release the sales order.

I could not find any action for that in the standard sales order API.

    Hey Big Josh,

I'm looking to do the same thing. How did you go with this? Could you share any insights on what you were able to achieve with power automate?

    Cheers,

    Gareth

Hi Garydee, no luck yet. I have requested assistance from our microsoft partner, but it is down the (long) list of priorities for them.

I will update if I get a solution.
