Is there any way we can debug D365 Portals' Web Template code on browser?

Posted on by 7,392 User Group Leader

Hi,

As Portal Add-On now comes with D365 Plan 1, I created some Page Templates as well as some Web Templates. I have my Liquid Template code inside these Web Templates.

Somehow, my code doesn't seem to run. I wanted to debug if it is going inside a loop, for instance.

How do I check that? How can I debug simply?

    Thanks Arpit for the suggestion.

But I want to understand if there is a way to debug Liquid template code. What are the best practices in order check values in an object?

    Waiting for your reply.

    Regards,

    SdDev.

    Hi,

Currently there is no way to debug the Liquid or Web Template code, though you can debug the JavaScript using Browser Debugger feature (Recommended IE Debugger).

    https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/crm/2015/11/29/debugging-custom-javascript-code-in-crm-using-browser-developer-tools/

    Hope it helps.

    Hi Priyesh

Tenfold can help in integrating MS Dynamics 365 and enabling click to dial in Outlook. Our click to dial also works on webpages opened in Chrome.  They also support MS Dynamics integration www.tenfold.com/.../dynamics
