We use Subscription lists in Outbound Marketing. How do we keep and use these in Real-Time journeys?

Outbound Subscription Lists

While Microsoft is encouraging the shift from Outbound to Real-Time Marketing in Dynamics 365, you can still leverage your existing Subscription lists within Real-Time journeys.

Key Point: Subscription Centers Bridge the Gap

The core mechanism for carrying over your Subscription lists to Real-Time Marketing is via the Subscription Center.

In Outbound Marketing, Subscription Centers are marketing pages where contacts manage their communication preferences.

Steps to Integrate

Ensure Subscription Center is Set Up in Outbound: If you haven't already, create and configure your Subscription Center in Outbound Marketing.

Go to Settings > Customer engagement > Compliance.

Create a new Compliance Profile, choosing the option to connect with a Subscription Center.

Select your existing Outbound Subscription Center.

Use in Real-Time Email Journeys:

When creating an email in the Real-Time journey designer, go to Email Settinghttps://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-insights/journeys/real-time-marketing-outbound-subscription#:~:text=in%20outbound%20marketing.-,Set%20up%20subscription%20centers%20in%20Customer%20Insights%20%2D%20Journeys,set%20up%20in%20outbound%20marketing.

Outbound Subscription Lists

Hi!

The subscription lists are not used anymore in realtime marketing. For that we have compliance profiles, purposes and topics. So basically the topics are the "new lists" where our contacts can say that they are interested in: Consent management overview - Dynamics 365 Customer Insights | Microsoft Learn

There is also a inbuild functionality to load the subscription list membership to the new purposes and topics. You can find this button in the table contact point consent.
