I would like to know if there is a similar functionality for the accounts receivable module, that responds to this type of feature but for a free text invoice:

Unfortunately, you may not do that with multi selection.
It is one by one operation as OOB.

As we are talking about this, do you know a way to apply a payment schedule, but to a group of different open transactions?
Lets say a customer has 3 big free texts, and he complies to pay all 3 within a specific payment schedule..

When I mark an open transaction (a posted free text) I can´t see that button being activated...
could you provide an image of that menu please?

No you cant but you can do from open transactions.
You can mark the open transaction and the button apply payment schedule is activated.
You may select the schedule and apply.
