I would like to know if there is a similar functionality for the accounts receivable module, that responds to this type of feature but for a free text invoice:learn.microsoft.com/.../payment-invoice-journalOr if you can please help in finding a way to assign a payment schedule to an already posted free text invoice?

Payment schedule is in Free text invoice header under payment tab.
Yes I understand, but we can´t seem to edit this field in a posted free text, can you do it?
No you cant but you can do from open transactions.
You can mark the open transaction and the button apply payment schedule is activated.
You may select the schedule and apply.
Are you talking about the open customer invoices page?
When I mark an open transaction (a posted free text) I can´t see that button being activated... could you provide an image of that menu please?Maybe we´re lacking a feature... in feature management

Never thought the button was in the settle transactions window.. :)
As we are talking about this, do you know a way to apply a payment schedule, but to a group of different open transactions?
Lets say a customer has 3 big free texts, and he complies to pay all 3 within a specific payment schedule..

Unfortunately, you may not do that with multi selection.
It is one by one operation as OOB.
