Hi,

I already implemented the cloning functionality. Ribbon button -> invoke action -> plugin Code

But due to the related records, sometimes getting time out error in the plugin. The code is already optimized. So we need to think of another option, thought of use to power automate.

Can  you guys, give me some suggestion how we can achieve this.

RE: cloning the record using power automate

    Hi,

There is no doubt that Power Automate is a user-friendly business optimization tool. With Power Automate, you can automate tasks across hundreds of apps within and outside the Microsoft ecosystem. It offers predefined templates and allows you to build workflows from scratch. You can create time-saving workflows around approvals, notifications, productivity, and social media.

But at times, it can be tedious to configure and create these workflows! Also, if you need customization, editing and ensuring these workflows function aptly can get further complex. Hence, using a third party app at times like Click2Clone can be an excellent alternative. You can clone/copy records within the CRM system with just a click!

Dynamics 365 CRM users rely on Click2Clone, a preferred solution from Microsoft AppSource.

Users can copy records similar to existing records as well as copy child records with this solution. It saves time and eliminates the need to manually enter data.

By using Click2Clone, users can customize the clone/copy process by selecting which fields and related records to copy and can even set up rules for cloning records based on specific criteria.

The solution can be used for custom and OOB records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Quotes, and more. Take a look at this demo video to see how Click2Clone enhances efficiency and streamlines data entry processes or read our online help docs for more information.

    Hello,

I would recommend HTTP initiated power automate flow. You can call it using JS from your button.
