Custom entities

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi All,

I have created some custom entities to run a opportunity approval workflow but i face this error when select these custom fields and click on Publish all customisation

"The user does not have create permissions to a secured field. The requested operation could not be completed. If you contact support, please provide the technical details.:

I am the system administrator but not sure why do i get this issue.

I also face this issue when i start to assign read/update access to the field security profiles i created. Please let me know what can be done here.

Regards

Pushpa

    Hi PR,

I thought you were syst Admin in CRM.

You can't do that, because you can't give someone else more privileges than you have.

    Hi GD,

I explored it a bit more, I am guessing since the users don't have read/edit rights from the customisation or custom fields, i cannot give them security permission. I am going to ask my administrator to give them access(i am a customizer and can't do it) and will try again. Meanwhile, if there is anything else you can highlight would be great.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Regards

    Pushpa

    Hi GD,

When i assign the security field access i get the error "The user does not have read permissions to a secured field. The requested operation could not be completed. If you contact support, please provide the technical details".

So i cannot assign the users access to read and update due to this error. Could you help me there?

PS: Thanks for the link, i am actively referring to this one for any topics i get stuck with.

    Regards

    Pushpa

    Hi,

it seems that you created some Filed Level Security(FLS). You will need to assign the users/teams who are able to update this field(including you):

    crmbook.powerobjects.com/.../field-security-profiles
