removing mandatory field 'Organisation Type' on account entity

hi,

I'm trying to remove a mandatory field 'Organisation Type' on Account entity but I get error 'The field you're trying to remove is required by the system or business'.

I tried to hide it but still I get error 'Organisation Type: Required fields must be filled in'

any clue please?

Sure you can test it on trial environment and accordingly you can take it further.

Thanks Akash, Good work around but I'll have to redesign my whole form then. I have about 15 fields on it. I'll try it on trial first.

Hi Partner,

Here is a quick Form designer trick which might help you to remove the Mandtory field. Requesting to test and verify in Trial environment first

For Example: We have to remove the "Pre-requisite Name" field from the Form

Change the number of columns of the tab which contains the required field to two.

Move the required field to the second section.

Change the number of columns of the tab back to one.

CRM will show a warning dialog and will delete all the fields in the second section giving you an empty form

thanks Andrew Butenko but I don't wana do that just in case if the field is used in other apps. Is there any other option?

Try to make field optional and then hide it.
