Budget Total Actual Expenditures is not updated by old transactions

Hi Lads

We have implemented budget Module in the middle of the year. in the funds available we can see that only transactions added after budget amount integration are available in the actual expenditure column, the old one are not.

Example

Fund available for this combination are 300

Budget = 500 and expenditures = 200

When we try to see transactions for the same combination

There's two transactions

21/01/2019 = 58000

09/06/2019 = 200

In the expenditures we can only see the 200

and when we try to add a journal

Please can anybody help and tell how to update expenditures in order to have correct funds availabe amount

PS: My budget control is annual

Thx

    Hi MEKKI,

Please check first in the Budget funds available section in 'Budget control configuration' form; what is the calculation is defined for budget calculation.

    Hi,

You are right when you say that ...  the funds available we can see that only transactions added after budget amount integration are available in the actual expenditure column, the old one are not.

That is how the standard behaves.

If you want to have the 'old' expenses included you would have to reverse them, then create and activate your budget and then post them again.

I am not sure whether this is feasible.

An alternative might be creating summarized postings on 'statistical accounts' that are not included in your balance sheet and income statement but in your budget control and take care of those old postings that have been made before using budgeting.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig

I think that this workaround could not be done in my case beacause main account is a budget control dimension.

For the point to reverse transactions, we have a huge number of transactions so this could not be done.

    Thx for ur answer

    Hello Mekki Yosra,

I see. In this case I do not see a feasible solution for your issue.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
