Filters in Kanban View

Hello experts,

I have a problem with the display of activities in the Kanban view.

I have created a view which contains certain filters. When I look at the rows of this view in the "Read Only Grid" view, I see the correct results.
But when I select "Show As" and "Kanban", the filter does not work anymore and I see all the rows of this entity. Nevertheless, according to the display, I am in the same view (in this case "Sales Activities").

If I click on "Edit filters" in this unfiltered Kanban view, the correct settings are displayed. Only when I confirm these unchanged settings again in this "Edit filters" view, the correct results are also displayed in the Kanban view.

I hope that someone can help me in this regard.
I am grateful for any tips.

Kind regards
Daniel

Can you share some screenshots if possible ?

Because it will just divide all the records as per the reference field which is used. and show in Kanban view format

    Hello Amit,

here are the filter settings I chose:

In the kanban view, however, many activities are displayed to which these settings do not apply. The date setting, for example, does not work either.

If I then press Edit Filter and confirm the unchanged settings, far fewer records are displayed.

    Hello Daniel,
It seems like you are facing a challenge with filters in the Kanban view within Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. This issue can be frustrating, but we have a solution that can enhance your Kanban view experience.
You can try Kanban Board by Inogic - an innovative tool designed to simplify how you visualize and manage data within Dynamics 365 CRM. It provides a more consistent and enhanced experience when working with Kanban views, including addressing the issue you’ve encountered with filters.
Here’s how Kanban Board by Inogic can help:
    1. Persistent Filters:
Unlike the default Kanban view in Dynamics 365, Kanban Board by Inogic ensures that your filter settings are persistent across views. Once you apply filters in the grid view, they are automatically carried over when switching to the Kanban view. This eliminates the need to manually adjust or reapply filters.
    1. Advanced Customization:
Kanban Board by Inogic allows you to easily create and save custom filters. This flexibility ensures you can set up exactly the view you need and have it consistently applied across all Kanban boards, streamlining your workflow.
    1. Sorting and Filtering Flexibility:
With Inogic’s Kanban Board, you have the ability to sort records in ascending or descending order based on the fields in the card view. Additionally, you can filter data by key criteria, such as the "CreatedOn" date, giving you complete control over how records are displayed.
Other Key Features of Kanban Board:
    • Visualize any Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM View as lanes & rows in a Kanban View with the ability to define categories.
    • Organize records in line with your Business Process Flows.
    • View aggregate field values of records on lane and row headers.
    • Cards can be configured to support up to 3 quick actions at an activity level. Quick Actions allow you to create activity records like Email, Phone Call, Task, etc.
If you'd like to explore how Kanban Board can improve your workflow and resolve the filter issue, we invite you to book a personalized demo with us.
You can also sign up for a 15-day free trial from our website or Microsoft AppSource to experience the benefits of an optimized and more efficient Kanban view.
Please feel free to reach out to us at crm@inogic.com for more details or to schedule a demo!

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks!
