in 2009 we had this report Purchase cost variance report I do not see it in in 2012 R3? Is there anything similar or something in ax where it will provide same data found this Inventory management> Reports> Analysis> Variance analysis statement but it seems very confusing can someone help or explain? I need PPV data

In the inventory management module there is an online form called 'standard cost transactions'.
It shows you the underlying transaction (PO,SO, production, ...) in the upper part and the different variances in the lower part.
This form is good for analyzing specific transactions; for a mass analysis over a period of time the form is, however, not suitable.
The corresponding report is the one that you found, which can be a bit confusing.
I had a look at various docs sites but could not find a detailed description for this one.

The only thing I found is a reference to production related variances, which you can find here: docs.microsoft.com/.../about-analyzing-variances-for-a-completed-production-order Not sure if this helps because you are specifically looking for PPV. Yet, might be worth having a quick look.
