How to log a technical support incident in PartnerSource?

Posted on by

Hi,

How can I log a new support incident for AX 2012 R3 in PartnerSource?

The support page redirects me to LCS, where I don't have any 2012 R3 projects active at the moment (only 365 solutions).

Does anyone know how I still can contact Microsoft?

Thanks!

For logging AX2012 support cases in LCS, you need to use a project of type AX2012. Depending on the user account you use for login, LCS will open in "AX2012 mode" or "D365FO mode". Please try to login with the Microsoft account that is linked to your company's Partner source account, then you should be able to open LCS in AX2012 mode. Another possible option is to click your name in the top right, and see if your current login is associated with multiple organizations. Then switch the current organization and see if you can now see/create AX2012 projects.

If you use an O365 account that is associated to Partner Source, but also has access to D365FO licenses, you should see your company two times in the top-right menu. Change between these two companies to switch between the two LCS modes.

    Hi,

I've tried to log the incident again this morning. This time without any errors.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

    Hi,

Have you tried again to log the error at a later time and/or through a different browser?

Do you have a colleague working on the same project that might alternatively log the incident?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi,

I've found a way to log a ticket in LCS trough a 365 project. However, upon submitting the incident, I get the following error message:

    2018_2D00_12_2D00_05-13_5F00_33_5F00_42_2D00_Submit-an-incident-_2D002D00_-Microsoft-Dynamics-Lifecycle-Services-and-2-more-pages-_0E202D00_-.png

An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later. If the problem persists contact support for further assistance. Correlation ID: 1d55d1fc-de74-4100-b055-4c8fb1b5ce0c

Do you know how to resolve this problem so that I can submit the incident?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I don't think that it is still possible to use partner source. You have to go through LCS. Probably also contact your local MS support directly to see what other options might exist and how they can help you with that.

    Best regards

    Ludwig
