Exporting Failures After Importing

Hello,

I and others at the organisation upload data into D365 using a Excel (xlsx file), which works fine. If / when we do get errors we're able to go into the Import Source File and navigate to the Failures tab to see a list of the rows that had errors in them. We also have an option to Export Errors Rows. However, if we click Export Error Rows it gives us a csv of the original upload file, so all of the data we've imported rather than just the rows that have failed to import.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to export just the error rows?

I have the same question (0)

I have the same issue. The error or failure rows export, but don't include the error and error code, which confounds me. Other systems I've worked in download the error code so I know what to look at. The errors seems quite general vs. specific as well.

Actually, it will only export the error rows when you click the button Export Error Rows. You can check whether there is successful rows display in your exported excels.

    Steps:

        1. Click your import file name.

        2. Navigate to Success Tab to find it in your exported error rows or not. There aren’t successful rows on my side.
