Hi Navneeth, thanks for the reply.  Right now I'm in a demo D365 F&O tenant. Is there a way to find out if it has been set up as a prod database or UAT one? could you provide more detailed steps on how to connect to the database since I'm new to this area. Your help is much appreciated.

    Hi Juan,

For the connection part you can connect to your Tier-2 UAT environment or Tier-1 Development environment and you need to connect to the AxDW database. The AxDW database is the database you need to connect to make these reports. Before that ensure that the Deploy measures and the entity store is refreshed so that all the data is published to the AxDW database.

how to publish Power BI report from D365 F&O to my workspace in Power BI
Hi I had some progress and now has powerBI reports in my LCM asset library. I downloaded a sample report and tried to open it from powerBI desktop. After entering my credentials on the Database option, I was not able to connecting to the D365 F&O database.

then I logged in D365 F&O, system administration--workspace, find the below page. which takes me to the LCM page.

I was able to view the below PowerBI reports, but don't see the deploy powerBI button.

I also tried the system parameters under system administration---setup. Not seeing how to deploy as well. Please advise if I'm on the correct page or missing any steps. Thanks!

    Hi Layan,

The issue hasn't been resolved yet. I'm able to see a project and asset library without power bi reports. another odd thing is our IT doesn't see me in the LCS org.

    Hi,

Steps to follow to make the report available in your workspace:
    1. Ensure you have a PowerBI pro licesnse to publish the report. It looks like you don't have a PowerBI Pro license to publish to the desired workspaces.
    2. Ensure that the .pbix file is added to the Asset Library from Dynamics Lifecycle Services -> Asset Library -> PowerBi report model

    3. Ensure you have the permissions to Deploy PowerBi reports from Dynamics 365 FO (System Administration -> Setup -> Deploy PowerBi Files).
Happy to answer questions, if any.

    Hi Jun,

In organization users, yes I'm a contributor.
If you can't see any project, then they need to add you to the project, where your name will appear in project users:

    Thanks,

    Hi Jun,

You need to go to the asset library inside the project itself

So first, you need to look for the project and click it

then from the burger menu, choose Asset library

Then you can follow the video and the steps mentioned by Andrea

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan
