Credit limit set on free text invoice only is stopping sales orders from invoicing

Credit management is enabled yet the error occurs on sales orders as well as free text invoice for a customer;

    Thank you for your responses. There are currently no blocking rules set up. The mandatory credit limit is also not enabled on the customer.
