Team Member - Running Reports

Posted on by 10

Hi all,

I am under the impression that Sales Team Member can run existing reports within Dynamics however when I log in under my separate test Team Member account I get the below error for every report that I try to run.

The report cannot be displayed because an internal error has occurred. Try running the report again, later. If this issue continues to occur, contact your Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator. (rsProcessingAborted)

The user has access to the entity and reports.  Is there something else I'm missing within the security role?

Thanks,

Eilidh

Thank you so much!!!  After banging my head against a brick wall for many many weeks!!  I was only concentrating on the Security Roles - didn't think about the available entities within the Team Member app!  I'll not make that mistake again!

    I really appreciate your help

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

Please note, Sales Team Member App comes with limited set of entities:

If any of your reports use entities outside this list, reports will fail.

You need to include these entities in Sales Team Members App:

    • Go to Advanced Settings -> Apps.
    • Open Sales Team Member app in the App Designer.
    • Click on Entities and select the entities you need.

    • Save, Validate and Publish the app.

You also need to give read-only access to Sales Team Member role for the entities being used in the report:

    • Go to Advanced Settings -> Security -> Security Roles.
    • Open the Sales Team Member role and modify it as per your needs.
