Application Object Server is Unavailable

We have two domains A & B (networks). AOS is running in Domain A.

We have created two trust between the domains. Also added the user in Domain B to AX user list.

When we open the AX client from domain B , i am getting this following error.

"The Application Object Server is unavailable. Check you configuration and network connection and try again"

I checked the configuration and it is correct.   But in AOS Server log  under security i am getting login and logoff details for the client. Also AOS receiving the request from the client but only hostname is showing up instead of FQDN.  Looking for a solution for the last  one week.

    Hi Andrew,

Have you checked the event viewer on the machine where AOS is hosted?

    Thanks,

    Baber.

Hi Baber, thanks for your reply. There was no entry in event viewer in AOS and client except security audit for the client. Secutrity audit says logon successful and another says logoff successful.

    Hi Andrew,

Have you tried to open the AX client on the machine where AOS is hosted and what was the result?

    Thanks,

    Baber.

Was the trust relation properly setup?

On a machine enrolled in Domain B (where you are getting that error) can you logon with a user from Domain A? At that point can you also open the AX client and see that it is working?

    Hi Andrew,

You stated that there are logon and logoff details. Are these related to domain B? That is not clearly mentioned. If they are also related to domain B it means it can find and communicate with the AOS. Are you able to find more details on the AOS?

At another customer this works correct.

Hi Andre, The logon on and log off details related to Domain B. i.e., AOS server receives the connection from Domain B.  I have noticed  in the network monitor the AOS receives only hostname of the client from B whereas for Clients from Domain A , the FQDN is received. I can't find anything more on the AOS side.

Hi Guys, The problem was solved. We have added IP details of AOS server in client's host file.  Thank you guys for your time.
