Synced all day appointment (Dynamics -> Outlook) is showing wrong start and end date in Outlook

Steps to reproduce my issue:

1. Be in a time zone different than GMT and create a new all day appointment spanning two or three days.

2. Wait for the appointment to sync to Outlook.

3. Ask a colleague who does not have Editor rights on your Outlook calendar (e.g. "Can view titles and locations" permission) to take a look at your calendar.

4. The all day event is now starting a little later and ending a little later.

5. Change to permission of your calendar for test colleague from 3. and let him look again at calendar.

6. Now the appointment should appear as all day event starting and ending at midnight.

How can I make sure that the appointment is always shown correctly?

    Hi,

whenever you make the changes of the user work hours to specific time zone, please make sure that the user is configured and setup with the same timings in the CRM and system. So, when you make an appointment it will show up the given time zone in the outlook when it gets synced.

The following topic explains how a user in the System Administrator role can set the time zone for a user.

    1. Go to Navigation pane > Modules > System administration > Users > Users.
    2. In the list, find and select the desired record.
    3. Select User options.
    4. Select the Preferences tab.
    5. In the Time zone field, select an option from the drop-down list.
    6. Select Save.

Users can set the time zone on their own in Personal Settings.

Adjust the time zone in the General tab.

     Nya, Thank you.

What do work hours and time zone have in common? Must the work hours be the same for all users or the time zone? In our tenant all users have the same time zone.

Concerning your second part about changing the time zone as an Admin: unfortunately that's not possible with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement / Sales. I have to the XrmToolBox tool User Settings Utility, which allows me to set the time zone globally.

The time zone does not seem to be problem here, because all users have the CET in Dynamics and Outlook.
