Label change in Credit Note Report

Hello,

I need to change label from Total Charges to Freight Charges in Sales Invoice report and in Credit Note report. I made changes in SalesInvoiceReport from Visual Studio 2012 (opened Application Explorer -> Visual Studio Projects -> Dynamics AX Model Projects and then opened SalesInvoiceReport). I have changed the label in the expression.

I am able to see the label change in Sales Invoice but unable to see the change in Credit Note, could any one tell me what needs to be done.

I learned that the same report is used for both SalesInvoice and credit note is this true? if so why I am unable to see the label change for credit note.

Look into SalesInvoiceController class. SalesInvoiceReport is called from various places and on the basis of caller settings are changed which displays to the end user.

documentTitle method in same class controls the report header title.

Hope it solves...

I dont see any method called documentTitle(), in which class you are reffering to?

also, in report design (.rdlc) I could see the expression for SalesInvoice title as "=Fields!InvoiceTxt.Value" what does this mean?

I dont see any method called documentTitle() in SalesInvoiceController, I am working on Dynamics AX 2012....

Which application and kernel version u r working on?

I have 6.2.158.0 application and kernel version. And same method is there. Look at the below screenshot.

I am using CU2.

I solved the problem by making changes to FreeTextInvoice report, this is being called for Credit note and invoice.
