First of all uninstall all the components installed on your machine related to Dynamics NAV 2013 R2.

Then add your user account to machine admin user group. This will allow you to install anything to your machine without any security issue.

    Then restart your computer.

Once you restart your computer, run the setup as a admin.

If this still fails please do revert back.  :)

    hi,

you face a problem with permissions.

run setup as administrator, deactivate UAC. the user with you are installing should be a domain user with enough rights on all windows servers/computers.

when selecting the service account try to use NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE. if that does not work try another account (must have the AD permission "run as service"!). could also be that you can use the user account. this service account is also used to connect to the database. check if the used user is in the sql user list (sql mgmt. studio) and has the according rights.

if there is a crashed installation make a complete deinstallation and then restart the system. check if all from the nav installation created folders are removed.

if there is another (older) nav version installed you must not use the same ports for nav2013r2! so check if the standard port 7046,7047,7048 are used.

maybe also helpful: allow using port 8080 on firewall.

    Hi Sanjeet,

Try to install Server Component only first. Windows Event Log can help you find out the error!

    Hey Sanjeet,

There is one more reason to the problem.

Your Navision Services are running with a domain account and you are currently not connected to Domain.

Example - you set up to run services using your office account like  - companydomain\UserID instead of network services and you are trying to open the Administration Shell in Home.

    IF that is the case-

    a) You can connect to VPN of your office and then try opening the administration panel.

    b) Open the services.msc and change the Logon as account to Network service and then try to open Administration panel.

For Step B you need to repeat that steps for all the services that you have.

Let us know if you still have issues.

    hi,

that means that something went wrong during installation.

try to install the nav service from "CD_DVD\2013 R2\ServiceTier".

    Hi,

Please check that Microsoft Dynamics NAV service is running on the same server.

Please go to services.msc and verify that the Microsoft Dynamics NAV server - Service is exist and running on the machine.

    Regards,

    Saurabh Shah
