Excluding no-bulk-email from segments

Hi

If a user Unsubscribes from an email, and their Bulk Email field is set to Do Not Allow, do they automatically get excluded from Segments/Journeys? Or do we need to allow for that as part of the query in the Segment?

    Hi Olly,

    Once the field is set to Do Not Allow, customer will stop receiving all commercial emails, but they will still be included in segment due to filter conditions not change.

    (And they may still allow transactional messages, see summary table of the section.)

    If running customer journey for them again, we'll see "Contact has do-not-email set" interactions in customer's Insights timeline.(We can also find that email is blocked in marketing email form > Insights.)

    So if necessary, to not generate unwanted insights data, you can create a segment and add it as suppression segment of journey.

    1) Create new segment for no-bulk-email contacts

    2) Exclude that segment from the segment being used by the journey

    That right?
