Hi,

I’d like to understand what function of Price discount Items window (upper one) in Item discount price group setup (lower one) is used for in AX? Thanks for any inputs!

Hi Wei,

The function of the window is to add items to the price/discount group.

The left hand section allows you to select a category hierarchy (provided these are setup) and navigate the hierarchy tree. When a node on the tree is selected, the list of items in that category show in the middle section. It is then possible to select single/multiple/all products in the middle section and use the > arrow to move them into the price/discount group.

Thanks Matt!

But if you do a test in both AX2012 and AX7, you will find out the items we entered in this price/discount group will not join any price calculation with related Trade Agreement journals posted.

The only way to make TA works with this Price/discount group is to link the group id to each item in PIM.

I was imaging when Price/discount group link to each item in PIM, it would be showing in this window to indicate users how many items belong to this price/discount group, but it is not working like it.

I also imaging when we add items to this price/discount group, it should work with TA, we do not need to worry about add price/discount group to each items in that list, or AX automatically add the price/discount group to each items in PIM automatically... but it is not either.

That's why I confused why we need to add items here to the price/discount group... Just want to understand how this form works in AX as functional point of view.

This is unclear for me as well. What's the meaning if some items show up on the right side?

It's not displaying all items linked to those price/discount group.

Wei Chen, you had the famly and child in Canada. why you try to establish relationship with the innocent girl in China by trying to rape her and cheating all the facts ( you age is 3 years less than actual , and your family situation?)
