Hello all,
When using Custom Activity Entities, if such an entity is renamed, the out of the box field Activity Type display values do not get changed to reflect this. As a result the filter dropdown options in record views can be confusing / completely different from the activity display name / type name as seen every where else in the system. This is where an activity type is held as a code like 100034 but displayed in views / forms as text such as "Email" or "Special Custom Activity" etc.
These are held in a managed global optionset which you cannot edit. (At least i cannot find a way..) - This field is visible on the activity entity and i think also on each custom activity entity, all using the same optionset. The optionset can be accessed directly in the global solution or via opening the field for editing like any other optionset field.
You'd think this would be possible as it is afterall global...
So if an entity was called "Vetting Activity" then got renamed to something like "Screening" (etc) there would with this issue be no visible link between these names, which basically breaks the activity type filter for users who dont know the original entity names.
it feels like this got forgotten about more than that this is by design.
Thanks

Done !
If there way to do that, i think definitely it should be raised. How do we do that ?
Hi partner,
I've tried it in my instance and it is by design.
When users filter by activity type, it does affect users' experience.
We could raise an idea to Microsoft Product Team about this situation.
Best Regards,
Leo
