Hi Friends,

When we create Journal for asset depreciation, click 'Fixed assets->depreciation proposal', it used to populate with 'description' fields, but, it's no more.

Can someone point out where is the description come from?

Please see screen shot.7713.Capture2.PNG

    Hello River,

Can you check your default descriptions in the Organization Admin module.

Is there a default description specified for fixed asset transactions?

    Has this possibly been changed?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Can you point out where exactly I can find out?

    Hi Ludwig,

I found it, it doesn't have. But, I have two test environments, both don't have this.

But, one populated 'description' for FA, other one doesn't.

Further digging, 'description' is from GeneralJournalAccountEntry.text field.

    Hi River,

Right. Create a new record here in this form that points to the fixed asset transactions.

Fill something in the text field and then create a completely new fixed asset journal where you create a depreciation proposal.

The text specified should be visible in the journal

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

As I said before, I have two test environments, none of them set it up. But, one is populated the 'description', why is it?

    Hi Ludwig,

Thanks for the solution, someone made changes in our environment, it created confusion.
