Hello-
For the past few weeks, our AR GL and Subledger are off. I have never handles balance these accounts, what are best practices to find these variances and balance? I have posted all batches. Reconcile to GL does not seem to be working, or maybe I am approaching that wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have the same issue with inventory, but not as bad.

To start off, what are you using to compare AR to the GL?
Sometimes the problem can come down to simply using the wrong report to balance to the GL. Usually we see this in Inventory where users attempt to use the Historical Stock Status Report instead of the Historical Inventory Trial Balance report.
You already have noted one of the best tools for the job, which is the Reconcile to GL. The problem with that tool is that users expect it to be a full reconciliation, rather than a tool to help you reconcile the correct report to the GL.
For AR, you will want to be balancing the GL TB and RM(AR) HATB.
I would start with reviewing the link below, then using the Reconcile to GL tool to see if it helps you notice anything obvious:

Thank you for the prompt response. I was running aged trial balance with options. Reports > Sales > Trial Balance > Aged Trial Balance w/ Options. I will run the HATB instead. I will also review the links you sent and see what I can piece together.
