Hi Experts,

I want to import Customer payment file sent by Bank(Australia) in D365 for creating Customer payment journal. In LCS, I can find XML file type but I require import File type as (.txt). Is there any formats available in LCS or suggest any formats which I can easily modify to import customer payment file (.txt).

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Tarique,

I have done a webinar on this topic recently with my colleague Ievgen that was streamed on the AXUG website.

Please have a look at this site (requires login) and search for the recording on bank reconciliation.

    Hi Ludwig,

Thanks for your response, As I don't have membership and I could not view the webinar.  I have configured ER using available format from the LCS for Vendor payment journal, For the same bank I want to configure import format. Kindly suggest.

    Hi Tarique,

    I see.

When you want to import the data then you have to specify and identify the elements included in your bank file and how this is structured. That's different from vendor payments where the structure is defined in D365FO. In other words, you have to be able to be able to breakdown and map the elements of your bank statement file as exemplified in the following form:

Does that help? If not, let's try to get some Aussie specialists in here.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Tarique ,

There is no out of the box configuration unfortunately, I have a series of blog post that show how to import csv file step by step, you can use them as a guide to build your own import format and reuse standard models available, if possible https://ievgensaxblog.wordpress.com/2019/02/05/msdyn365fo-how-to-import-csv-file-using-electronic-reporting-part-1-data-model/
