AUTHENTICATION & LOGIN DIFFICULTIES

Hello colleagues,

I have a problem trying to login to my server using client machines that are offsite. I'm trying to do this over an existing LAN. I have set it up to use NAV certificates. Prior to any logins, I created users in the system from the server side, however, every time I try logging in from point B (the off-site station) I get one of two errors:

1. "The program could not create a connection to the server. Do you want to try again?"

2. "Invalid Security: An error occurred when verifying security for the message."

Users from point A (on-site, where the server is located) have been accessing the system seamlessly.

Any one with a solution to the above two problems?

    Hello Ishwar,

I'm logging in via the client Components which I have installed on client machines.

Hi Eddie, How are you logging in from point B? Using RDP or you have installed clients on machines at point B?

    Hello Alex,

I think a connection between the client machines and the server exists because pinging from either side results in a response.

Does your LAN extend to the offsite location (WAN)? If not you need to use a VPN connection before you can open NAV on a remote machine. Or you can establish a Remote Desktop connection to access the LAN first, and then run NAV from the machine you are connected to.
