How to implement WHT functionality in Business Central

D365 Business Central does not have Withholding Tax functionality for our region but the customer requested to have this functionality as it is applicable on most of the payments they process. Please can you assist with work-arounds to get similar functionality in the system.

Hi, As far as I know, there are standard methods for handling Withholding Tax in some regions.

Italy:

Australia:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/localfunctionality/australia/withholding-tax?wt.mc_id=DX-MVP-5004336

If the environment you created is in these regions, you can use this feature directly.

Hi,

In order to understand how complex the Withholding tax functionality is in your region you need to provide some more details on Country as well as which version and Localization of Business Central you are using.

India version of Business Central provides a functionality called Tax engine which can help generate entire Tax type which can help out in creating any Custom Withholding Tax, VAT or Sales tax functionality in Business Central.

What is your region for the BC environment? only specific regions have that local functionality.
