Fixed Asset Depreciation Reducing Balance Method calendar

Hi Experts,

I am using dynamics 365 finance & Operations. I am trying to create a fixed asset by using reducing balance method. But when I select a depreciation year "Fiscal". The system will not create a depreciation profile as per asset value. When I select Depreciation year Calendar with reducing balance method. The system creates a depreciation profile at the time of acquisition.

But my problem is, the system is not generating Depreciation profile as per my calendar. It's working fine from January to December. But not with July to June as my financial calendar is from July to June

Your reply is highly awaited. Thanks in Advance.

Thank You!

I have the same question (1)

    Hi MATTGUO,

    Thanks for your reply!

I have select Financial Calendar 2020-2021. (Its July to June). when I use the financial calendar from July 2020 to June 2021. the system will not create depreciation profile in case of reducing balance method.

when I use financial calendar Jan 2020 to Dec 2020 system will create depreciation profile by using reducing balance method. My concern is we are using a financial year from July to June. please let me know if I missed some setup configuration.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Just to be clear can you please clarify what you mean by 'system does not create depreciation profile'. Are you getting an error?

Some screen shots of your depreciation profile and book setup would help if they are available?

Here you can see system does not create depreciation profile as per reducing balance method in case of the financial year starts with July.

Now, My concern is As per country law our financial year is July to June. So I want to calculate depreciation profile as per our finanical year.

I would be thankful. if you or anyone help in this regard.

    Thank You!

    Hi,

In you second scenairo, the Depreciation year field in the depreciation profile should be set to Fiscal.

Which fiscal calendar is selected in Ledger?

    Hi,

    thanks For your reply1

I have select RBM Calendar in the ledger same as depreciation profile.

When I select Fiscal system will not create a deprecation profile as per reducing balance method that's why I am using Calendar.

However, I have already tested the said setting. but I didn't get the required result.

    thank You!
