AX 2009 Version Control. Can't remove some entries?

Over time i have several entries that I can't remove out of Version Control.

The Aos will allow me to check the objects in, then i have two entries.  When done i can check out the objects that i need to but one always stays behind.

Have notice that the Action for all the orphaned objects are set to 'delete'.

Include    Image    Path    Version    Action
Yes        \Classes\AKRFreightCalc    13    delete
Yes        \Classes\AKRFreightCalc_AxFlatbed    7    delete
Yes        \Classes\AKRFreightWizard    12    delete

How can i just get remove these orphaned objects?

Don't care if the history is remove.  In a way i would like to re-add the needed objects back to Version control.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Abraham Z.

If these are uncommitted delete actions, just commit them - go to Tools > Development Tools > Version Control > Pending objects and check in the changes.

If this is not the case, please tell us as many details as possible. First of all, what version control do you use? If it's MorphX VCS, you could do some changes to data in SysVersionControlMorphX* tables.

Version control system: Visual Source Safe

    Repository folder : c:\VCSRepository

tables i have found in sql are:

    dbo.SYSVERSIONCONTROLMORPHXITE2541  (empty table)

    dbo.SYSVERSIONCONTROLMORPHXLOC2542  (empty table)

    dbo.SYSVERSIONCONTROLMORPHXREV2543  (empty table)

    dbo.SYSVERSIONCONTROLPARAMETERS (one line)

    dbo.SYSVERSIONCONTROLSYNCHRONI1982  (some entries)

Is there any other information i can get?

    Thanks for you help

If you use SourceSafe, all changes are stored in VSS repository. The tables I mentioned are used by MorphX VCS only.

What happens if you try to check in that deletes?

When I checked in akrFreightCalc get the following message:

    Check in

    \Classes\AKRFreightCalc

    $/Ax Dev/cus/Classes/AKRFreightCalc.xpo - checked in

Go back in to Check In and akrFreightCalc is still their.

That's really strange. Open SourceSafe client and if the class is checked out, try to check in there. Watch for any errors.

    checked out akrFreightCalc

on checking in akrFreightCalc their are two entries

one with action 'Edit' and another with action 'Delete'.  Checked out both.

    get the following message:

    Check in

    \Classes\AKRFreightCalc

    $/Ax Dev/cus/Classes/AKRFreightCalc.xpo - checked in

    $/Ax Dev/cus/Classes/AKRFreightCalc.xpo - checked in

The file 'C:\VCSRepository\cus\Classes\AKRFreightCalc.xpo' is write-protected or in use.

akrFreightCalc with action of 'Delete' is still in the Pending Objects

I would be happy just to remove all the entries that have Action as 'Delete' from version control.  They are all programs that i have created and i don't need the history.  Also i have found a couple that when i touch the object the following info shows up.

    Message (01:37:52 pm)

$/Ax Dev/cus/Classes/AKRFreightCalc_AxFlatbed.xpo - File or project not found

Some time will playing with it the akrFreightCalc_axFlatbed.xpo was delete.  Not sure how to get this working either.

    thanks

About the problem about "delete" - look at the object in SourceSafe client. If you see a checkout there, try to revert it. Also, try to run analyze utility (see more in How to: Find and Repair Data Corruption).

"File or project not found" means that the object exists in AX but not in the working folder. If it exists in SourceSafe, use SourceSafe client to get latest version to the working folder. If it doesn't exist in SourceSafe anymore, disable version control and delete the object from AOT.

The latter problem means that your working folder is corrupted - it may be the reason for the first issue as well. You may try to use a completely new working folder.
