How to use a workflow to update related entities or Send all related contact emails

HI All,

Please guide Would anyone know if it is possible to use a workflow or Flows to update related entities or Send all related contact emailst Using any OOB functionality like the one shown below, I have a Advance find in Contacts Entity which in related to another entity and to set the Look up the Advance find QUery and send all related contacs an email.

Hello Jag,

Attendance is an entity correct? If yes then you are comparing your Attendance GUID to the Account record type field in fetch XML which is not correct.

Update your filter criteria in fetch XML and provide correct details.

Hello,

Yes, you can retrieve the data but need to provide the main Entity GUID and from that we can get the related entity data.

Follow below procedure where you will get the related entity data.

Here I have main entity as Account and Related entity as the Contact. Go to the related entity and add a simple condition where you are checking if main entity lookup have the data. then downlead the fetch XML.

Now create a flow and add the first connector which will get main entity GUID( For example in below flow if we add, modify or delete any account it will trigger)

As in the below part you can see I have used the fetch xml which was downloaded form the Advanced Find. Just replace the GUID with the Dynamics GUID of main entity.

And then it will fetch the related data when your Flow will Run/Trigger.

You can use List Rows action of Dataverse and specify fetch xml downloaded from advanced find. Please see below blog for the same -

You can create a workflow activity or power automate flow which will sent an email depending on the trigger which you have mentioned.
