trying to find the best wat to work on nav for a sheet metal work shop and variouse steel prfile 

how to include dimensinal item in inventory and use it correct way that to have control on raw material of diffrent size in sheet metal

    By using LOT number and lot number information table, You can achieve this.

    Make base unit of measure of the Steel plate is KGs and Assign lot number for multiple sizes

    I am thinking to use a base unit of kg and use and external metal optmization software and keep record of all metal size
