The value xxxxx in field 'City' is not found in the related table 'Cities'

When adding a new vendor or updating an existing one, we get a validation on cities and it is always an error. This seems to have started spontaneously; we do not have cities loaded in AX and never had this error until recently, it even occurs editing existing vendors by trying removing and adding again the same city.

I have seen some support on the forums mentioning to check the relational table, but I don't find the 'Cities' table in AOT. Can I find the main table that is referencing this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi PGRAY,

Please check the table LogisticsAddressesCity. This is the main table for cities.

    Hi PGRAY,

Cities are usually created from Address setup > Organization administration module and the table name is "LogisticsAddressesCity" as shared by Gunjan and data entity is "LogisticsAddressCityEntity".

Right I understand where to add cities, but we don't have any cities loaded and this has never been a problem. When I add the city in question, the vendor can be created. Not sure why this validation suddenly kicked in. Any idea if it can be turned off? Or should I just try to load cities for every country?

We have the table LogisticsAddresssCity (spelled like that... missing the 'e') but no relations to anything mentioning city.

Unfortunately we have some customization from different 3rd party support (first Pangea, now RSM), I worry they made a change but they stopped responding.

    Hi PGRAY,

Were the address records being passed before? The validations would have been there always. Please check the data being sent before you started getting these issues and see if there are any differences.

Yes, Tthis is what I'm saying.

We have been creating and approving vendors the same way for several years, without any issue. As mentioned, if I edit an existing vendor, I get the error, where before we did not.

We have not had cities loaded in the system previously, but now it is requiring them.

Have there been any recent code changes implemented or any update done to the system?
