ReportReport
Posted on by 111
Hi All,

Am facing issue while generating a report. as below screenshot.

when analyzed the issue it was the email id that was not allowing to generate the report.

we tried clearing the cache for the user in personal data.

But still we couldnt get a solution to resolve this issue.

Kindly provide a solution to resolve the issue without changing the email id.

Note: Even if the role is in system administration we get the same error. for the user if this email id is provided.

Thanks
Ameer Jahan

    Hi,

Can you explain a bit, what is this email ID about? when you are using email id while generating report?

    Hi Ramit,

    For example:

    my user id is Abc
    my mail id is abcd@xyz.com

so if i try to generate a journal report in general journal i get this rdce error.

if some other user with some other mail id tries to open the report it generating/opening.
if i use the abcd@xyz.com mail id for  user id - XYZ. then i get the same RDCE error for xyz user id also.

    hope you got me.

    Hi,
Restarting AOS server(s) resolves the issue in most cases. For more details: Solved: Reporting error: RDCE process failed (dynamics.com).
    Best regards,
    Kevin

    HI Ameer,

Kevin mentioned AOS, not AOT. Can you tell us if this is a Microsoft managed instance or that your environment is on-premise? If it is on-premise, then you can also check SSRS permissions if the user has appropriate access.

In our case, we have an employee who had moved from one entity (company) to another entity.  The employee in HR and the user in System Admin were still recording the email of the previous entity.  Once the email was changed to the email of the new entity the problem was resolved.  Also I changed the Company of the user in System Admin of the new entity.  If using the test environment you have to do the same.

    Regards,
    Adrian
