Old appointments from CRM still sending invites to Outlook

Hi,

We have this user who is currently receiving meeting invites from old CRM appointments to Outlook.

These appointments are already completed but he still receives meeting invites. We noticed that he is on attendees so we removed him, close appointment as completed, and we also set his mailbox appointment sync from server side to none but he still receives meeting invites from those appointments. These are scheduled last 2018, by the way.

Could anyone please help us?

Many thanks!

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the suggestion! However, we have already done that and he still get the invites. Found out that it's because the user is both the owner and an attendee to that appointment (he's in the required attendees). We removed him from there and now he's not getting invites anymore.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello Gracia,

That can be a really frustrating issue.  One of the things to work out is: who is he receiving the invites from?  Whoever it is, that is the user that's causing the issue (potentially through no fault of their own).  To stem the tide of invites, I'd suggest setting the Appointment/Contact/Task sync to "none" for the sending user.  There could be other individuals receiving their invites too that have not reported it yet.

I think that this might not be an easy issue to work out, and in this case it may be best for you to open a support case with Microsoft to have it addressed.

    Tom
