Hiding or archiving customer file on AX 2012

Hi, is there any way to hide/archive a closed account on Microsoft Dynamics 2012?

I know how to place them on Hold and delete them, but we don't delete customers in our role, but archive them.

Reason for this is when running reports we don't want to pick up any closed accounts

thanks

    Hi,

You could have a look at the IDMF (Intelligent Data Management Framework) if this could help you.

It is possible to add a filter on the report query to exclude customers with status On-hold.

You can also consider creating an XDS policy where customers with status OnHold will be hidden. The question then also comes... how to unhide them again... Who will be allowed to see these customers and don't get them on the reports.
