Excel Paste button always dim in GP 18.3.1200

After applying the 2020 GP year-end update I noticed the Excel paste button on the payables transaction screen and the distribution screen. This button is always dim. How do you activate it? I have tried opening a spreadsheet and marking a couple of rows but it remains dim.

I saw the same thing on my 18.3.1200 environment, but then I entered a vendor and then the Excel paste button became 'enabled', do you see the same thing or no?

    Thanks

I had to read the fine print. Using 18.3.1200,it is the1.re but dim. You enter a vendor ID and then move into the Purchases field. When you click on the Distributions button, there is the Paste button and it is active. I also had to have a spreadsheet open with rows marked for copying.

I cannot seem to get my Paste button to not be greyed out.  I followed this post and tried everything (or thought I did) but no luck.  Does Microsoft have any further guidance?  I'm on GP 18.3.1174 (build just before 1120 YE).  Thanks.

There is a qualification on the blog that says you have to Multi-Currency enabled and that it does not work with Analytic Accounting.

Not sure why the Multicurrency requirement - would think that would be more of a limitation.

OK Thank you...I obviously missed that.  I will test in the morning and check back.  You seem to always have a solid answer for stuff that stumps me.  Thank you.

Bingo...that was it.  For those who are unfamiliar with enabling multi-currency, go to System-->Setup-->Registration.  Scroll through the list of modules and tick the check box next to Multicurrency.  Note that before you do this, ensure you have configured the multicurrency module correctly and make sure you will not be breaking any existing integrations, etc.  Thanks again Bill.
