Management Reporter CU 16

Posted on by 1,930

When we attempt to open report designer we get an error on the workstation. We are using GP 2018.3

There are 2 errors logged in Event viewer on Workstation  . The help link page no longer exists.

1/

Library not registered.
Action: schemas.microsoft.com/.../GetPrincipalIncludeInactiveAndDeletedPrincipalServiceFaultFault Fault code: Sender IsSenderFault: True IsReceiverFault: False Reason: Library not registered.

2/

The operation could not be completed due to a failure on the server.
Machine: KPT-CJAKE-DT01

On the server the following error message is logged in the Event Viewer

Library not registered. Component: Microsoft.Dynamics.Performance.Reporting.Security.Service.SecurityService

Could find anything in KB etc.

Please advise

Greg - the issue is to a specific user only. He was able to connect in the morning and then all of a sudden this error which we cannot get over. The event viewer message I listed in my earlier post were from the workstation and the server.  The below is the log from MR-Logger - it has the same date/time stamp - but it has a different user - the user listed here is the one configured to run the 2 MR services and the name of the computer is the MR Server.

    Thanks

On the MR server, open the MR Configuration Console and verify that both MR services are running.

Do you have an MR client on the server, or another workstation that you can try?  Does it fail there too?

On the MR server, open Event Viewer and go to Applications and Services Logs | Microsoft | Dynamics | MR-Logger | Operational.  There should be 2-3 errors logged there, with the same timestamp.  What do they say?
