Hi,

On my computer I can filter vendors case insensitive, but not on another user's computer, all filters are case sensitive.

Is there a setting somewhere for that? Is it coming from the OS?

Also, that user also has NAV2013 installed and this one isn't case sensitive.

Not sure why her NAV2018 is.

You have to use @ character while filtering, please check this link

I know about the @, but my question was why is it working on my computer and not hers on NAV2018, and why is it working on her NAV2013, but not her NAV2018?

Try to take a backup of personalization file and delete the file and try again. I could be something related to the personalization or metadata issue.

The personalization file is located at

    c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics Nav\PersonalizationStore.xml

So, after more testing here's what I found out:

On both computers the behavior is actualy the same, what differs is this:

If you search for "h*" in NAV2018, it searches case sensitive.

If you search for "h" in NAV2018, it searches case insensitive.

If you search for "h*" or "h" in NAV2013, it searches case insensitive.

If you search for "@h" in NAV2018, it searches for it case insensitive and keeps the @ in the filter.

If you search for "@h" in NAV2013, it searches for it case insensitive and removes the @ in the filter.

I guess we have to adapt to the new behavior of NAV.
