Hello Guys,

I am trying to integrate GL's for AX. Can you suggest me which is the best way either Web services or .Net Business connector. and why? please give your suggestions.

right now after some RnD i am able to consume Webservices in C# code ans successful integration but want your suggestions.

Your choice depends on your requirements and limitations, including your version of AX.

But in general, Business Connector is weakly-typed and it's going to be discontinued. In additional, web services give more options, therefore they make much better sense for new development.

Assuming that you're trying to use an existing AIF document service, you can update it by Tools > Application Integration Framework > Update document service (path in AX2012). There may be a reason why the fields aren't there by default, though.

If you looked only to the output and not the actual class, ensure yourself that the fields aren't merely configured not to be included.

If you have more questions, please give us more details. What's your of AX? What's the document and fields?

Hello Martin,

I have create one new Services for GL. Here i am presenting screen shot for available field in that service. whereas actual table has many more fields then this. Please have a look. Fields related invoice details and few other fields are also not there.

Actually i am trying to integrate GL for Non-Ledger Accountype. Here i have few point where i am facing problem.

1- Non Ledger AccountType Customers are not getting integrated. Exception occurs while integration.

2- Non Ledger AccountType Vendors are successfully Integrated but some fields are not available inside the services of AIF. As shown in below image fileds avialable in invoice and other tabs are not there in services.

You have to design your query first; your service won't magically add fields for you. Which field are you unable to add to your query and what prevents you from doing it?

The validation error is thrown by LedgerJournalTransType.validateAccountType().

By the way, this thread is already marked as answered - consider creating a new thread for follow-up questions.
