This should be simple -- Delete a filter saved for all users

A user has created a filter in "Advanced Filter/Sort" and saved it for all users.  Now, we want to delete it from all users, but if we press Delete from the filter/sort interface, it only deletes it for the current user.  How can we "delete for all users?"  This is DAX 2009 SP1.  Thanks!

I must admit that I don't know how to save a filter for all users. Is it in standard AX?

Nevertheless I expect it simply creates the same filter for each individual users and you have to delete them all. The information is saved in SysLastValue table. Look for recordType = UserSetupQuery in the right company. ElementName field contains the name of the object (form, report etc.) - just don't forget the prefix.  If you want to find a particular named query (to keep other saved queries for the same object intact), you'll have to dig into data saved in value field (I would try to reuse the logic in queryUnpack() method in SysQueryForm class).

Are you sure that the filter has not been coded in? An order by on your grid query perhaps?

I don't know any other way to "save a filter for all users". If it is coded in the only solution would be to remove the filter in code.

all the user related setup configuration is stored in SysLastValue Table.

Try to find records in that table and try to delete it.

Hey guys -- thanks much for your suggestions!  Turns out it WAS a customization that had been done for our company a while back.  We are upgrading to 2012 now and not carrying it through, so this has become a moot point.  The answer all depends on how the customization was coded in the first place, which I'm not quite sure how to figure out at this point.  Clearing SysLastValue Tables for individual users though doesn't delete these All User queries, so I dunno where there stored!  And probably never will :(
