Download AX2012R3 CU10 on WIndows Server 2012

Isn't it possible to upgrade from CU9 to CU10 on Windows Server 2012?

As far as I can see I can only login to LCS with IE11 and IE11 is not available for Windows Server 2012 (only IE10). I have checked the system requirements and it doesn't mention that Windows Server 2012 R2 is a requirement.

You don't need LCS to upgrade to CU10.  Besides, I login to LCS all the time with Chrome.

    Hi Brandon,

The installer need to login to LCS to download the hotfixes and save the installer package. During this process it also needs access to the existing model database, so unless I make a backup of the customers model database, download it to my own PC over the internet and download CU10 from there, I will need to login to LCS on the customers servers - or have I missed something?

I think I will give Chrome a try.

    Thanks for the tip.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

There are 2 options here : one is to download the upgrade package from any system and save it. Later you copy that saved package to the server and do the upgrade activity.

another option is to download the slipstream package and perform and update blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../how-to-slip-stream-ax-2012-r3-cu-8.

LCS by the way is not dependent on any browser.

    Hi Manish,

You need access to a model to be able download the full package, and no, you Cannot login to LCS with IE10 anymore. The slipstream Update could have been an option but Instead I installed Chrome and downloaded and installed directly on the customers own environment.

    Thanks anyhow for your contribution.
