How to set up payment limit

Posted on by

Good afternoon. We found out that our accounting department need one improvement but we cannot find how to do it. We need to set up some payment limit for some Vendors.

For example in Russia we should not pay more than 600000RUB in one month to some small businesses so they would not pay bigger taxes.

Can we somehow set up this payment limit for Vendors?

If we are doing several small payments to one Vendor during one month we should receive some error message after we reach this barrier and this last created Payment can not be Aprroved and Posted.

Could you please advise how it can be done if there is such possibility or if it was already discussed please give me links to it.

Thank you in advance!

    Hi Vi_Sta,

In my opinion this requires a customization.

I am not aware of a standard feature that can do that for you out of the box.

Can you post a product suggestion for that on the dynamics ideas portal? If you are lucky and many users ask for this feature, MS might built it and bring it into the standard application. (https://ideas.dynamics.com/)

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

I have an idea but i am not too sure if your user think it is practical implementation:

    1. Activate the vendor as financial dimensions.

    2. Create account structure for Bank's chart of account to include vendor financial dimension.

    3. Activate budget control for the bank chart of account and vendor dimension

    4. Enter budget entries for those vendor for each month and make sure they dont exceed the budget
