DMT AX2009 to D365 - Installation problem (DIXF service won't install)

Hello all,

I have a problem installing the DIXF service on AX2009 as part of the Data migration tool (DMT) for AX2009/D365
I am currently working with a version from May 2017, as the tool is actually in private preview.

I seem to have all the necessary prerequisites installed on the machine (AX2009, SQL Server 2012, AccesDBEngine, SSIS, SQL Native client) 

but the installation routine ends with an error message after I have selected "SQL Server 2012" as the installed SQL server.

The message states "The selected sql server version was not found"

Any hint for this?

    Hello Michal,

    I am sure, I have installed SP4, however,

    select @@version has returned :

    Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP3) (KB3072779) - 11.0.6020.0 (Intel X86)

    Standard Edition on Windows NT 6.3 <X64> (Build 9600: ) (WOW64) (Hypervisor)

    Did you see the DOC?

    docs.microsoft.com/.../install-dmt

    Access database engines

    For SQL Server 2008: Access engine 32-bit and 64-bit (if Microsoft Excel is 64-bit)

    For SQL Server 2012 or later: Access engine 64-bit

    Hope this helps.

    Yes, I have installed the 64-bit AccesDB engine.

    Hi partner,

    Please try to reinstall Sql server .

    Please make sure the SSIS service is running when you install the DMT service.
