Opportunity "Close as Won" button does nothing.

We have a new Dynamics 365 instance into which we have migrated an 8.2 solution.

We have just discovered that the "Close as Won" button is not working at all.  "Close as Lost" is working.

I did get it work on the grid view of opportunities.

Is this likely to be a configuration issue or do we maybe have some code which is interfering?

I wonder if we might have interfered with the ribbon.

As far as I am aware it should just be calling the standard MS functionality.

    Which is the version of your organization 8.2.X.X?

    Do you have your ribbon customized?

    It is: Version 1710 (9.1.0.10733) online

    We are migrating from On Premise: Version 1612 (8.2.2.112) (DB 8.2.2.112) on-premises

    There is some customization in there.  A couple of additional buttons.

    I wonder if I have overwritten v9 with v8 for the button maybe?

    Not sure how to validate.  I can get an error through the new unified interface but not through the legacy one (which we will be using for some months to come):

    I do have a ticket opened with MS.  At first they thought it was something they had a script for which is fairly common.  They have since responded that it is something else entirely. 

    I am waiting for someone to contact me.
