External Item description - Open in Excel - Publish is disabled

Hi all,

Users want to remove External Item numbers in bulk so they are using the Open in Excel feature when in Released products - Purchase tab - Related Information - External description.
When in the Open in Excel feature and enable editing, the Publish button is disabled with the following message stating data sources cannot be published: VendorProductDescription (identity fields not bound).

Error message: 
'The following data sources cannot be published: VendorProductDescription (identity fields not bound)'

Hi Bill,

Most likely, not all primary key fields are used in the Excel sheet which will indeed block the Publish option. You can go to the design mode and add all fields. Then refresh the date. The publish button will then be available (if the entity supports all CRUD actions instead of being read-only).
