Carry over dimension from POS/Register to sales order voucher

I'm in a project where we are struggling to track where the fulfilment/sales actually is done, i.e. if you have a store and a pick-up point we want to track from the POS where we actually did the sale. The thing is that we want to separate who the product belongs to internally and who actually delivers it.
So we put the custom dimension value in the Register's dimension section (we also tried with fin dims from operational units), but they never populate the vouchers, revenue, cogs accounts and so on.
When you set a * for the fulfilment dimension in the account structure, POS's sales order won't post, since you need to provide a dimension value.

Conclusions made is that Register won't populate financial dimension values to sales transactions and eventually the sales order

Are there any settings to be made to enable financial dimension to populate from the Register?
