Chart data

Hi

Weird issue, I have a customised chart and it is showing different data for admin and user roles, checked the security role for users and they have org level access to system charts for all read write and create.

As an admin if I see say 15 records than as a user it shows double the number, 30 but within different categories and only shows right number when you open the data view grid.

What could cause it, any help, pointers much appreciated.

Thanks

PS

    Hello, thanks for reaching out.

The chart shows records that the user has permission to Read. So security would be dependent on their read permissions for that entity/table. I would expect the user to see less than the admin. Also, the chart uses the view being displayed not the view set on creation for preview features. Make sure the admin and the users are looking at the same view. If that is not the issue then let us know what the right number is and if they are looking at a dashboard and you set a view there?

    Hi Tom

That is right, user should see less, However, issue in this case is user seeing more records, also the view and chart (customised) have same query, we (admin and user) are checking same views on a dashboard.

As an admin i am checking records for a specific team as that of a user, so if i am in team A as an admin i should view 10 records and so does user in team A, but user here incorrectly when looking at the chart gets 20 records on the bar(incorrectly) which are actually only 10 when checked using data grid view.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I can’t reproduce your problem.

Please check that whether your admin has the System Administrator security role and whether your user has other security roles which may add the records number.

Maybe you can try to create a new chart.

Can you provide some screenshots about it if it is convenient.
