Hello,

I have 30K items in database, and I update prices each year. The update date is not stil the same.
So I selected in a new journal all my trade agreements on a cust price group. I want to disable all of these (without delete these).

I would like apply an end date for all lines, but I can't, only line per line.

Anyone already work on it ?

Tks in advance.

Do I understand that you've a lot of trade agreement lines, with no end date defined. You wish to populate the end date (To date) on all these lines.

Can the end date be the same for every line? If so,.....

Can I point you to this gem of a post from Steven Weaver:

    community.dynamics.com/.../218540.aspx

Otherwise, if you have AX 2012 R3, you could use the functionality which allows you to push trade agreement journal lines to Excel for editing.

OK, the Steven's post didn't help. I know that I need to add a ToDate to all my lines (it's the same date yes). But I can't do it for all line of a journal, only line per line, and I've 30K lines. When you select all the line and change the date, only the first line is modified.

I've the last version R3 Cu8, so yes, modify in excel is ok, it's quite long.

The select screen in the trade agreement lines need to be improved (why they not use the usual selection query screen...).

    Thanks.

If you use the button 'Copy and revise', you can create 30k new lines, all with the same 'To date'. This means you now have 60k TA lines! Half have a 'To date' and half don't.

The reason Steve's post is a gem is because it then explains how to get rid of the original 30k lines which have not got a 'To date'. I'll copy the relevant bit below (and tidy it up a bit):

Post the journal (all 60k lines!).

Then create a new journal, which is the same (this will have 60k lines).

Filter on the lines with a 'To date' set so that only 30k lines are showing, and they all have a 'To date'.

Select all these lines and use Alt + F9 to delete these 30k lines from the journal.

Remove the filter to show 30k lines with the blank date.

Press the "Select all trade agreements for deletion" button.

    Then post the journal.

You will now only have 30k trade agreement lines, but they will all have a 'To date' populated.

    Hello,

when i click on "Select all agreement to delete" it nothing happens.

If i add a line manually, it selects the new line with the message "you will select to delete..."
But the imported line by the select button can't be selected to be deleted.

    any idea ?

Ok may be it's because a fromdate is still missing... (with a todate)

Are you sure. When you click 'Select all agreements to...', every line in the Journal will get an Icon in the 'Trade agreement validation' column. That icon indicates there is a message related to the line. If you click on one line, and then switch to the 'Error log' tab you should see the message is something like 'Marked for deletion....'.

When you post the Journal, the trade agreements marked as such will be 'deleted'. This means the line will be like it never existed (although a record of the line still exists in the Posted Trade Agreement Journals).

Some lines didn't have start date, only a end date, and on these, the button was without effect...

    Anyway thanks for your help.
The selection window is too poor, we will try to customize it.
