How to track one email rather than whole email chain?

Posted on by 40

I am having trouble finding the answer to this in layman terms.

When I recieve an email from a contact, i want to track that one email. I do not wish to track the replies or forwards of that email.

How do I do this?

Each time I track the email and then reply to the individual or forward it on, the whole email chain continues to be tracked.

If the email has been forwarded through different colleagues in my organisation, it will continue to track to each recipient.

I have tried to untrack the email chain from dynamics using the outlook add-in, and it will say untrack and deleted but the tracked email still remains in each recipients timelines.

I can't figure it out.

    Hi askhdcakjm,

In the System Settings, under Email tab, uncheck "Use correlation to track email conversations".
