0 Quantity error after posting picking list

Not sure if anyone has ever seen the error below but I am creating an Intercompany PO>SO. I create the PO, confirm it, then go to the SO. I pick the order but once I click ok on the pick list, the below error pops up stating a 0 quantity. My quantity says 10 inside picking list and I am able to continue through rest of process with no errors in posting inventory....

Then after that, seems like nothing was effected on the inventory side so not seeing where that error is effecting the bottom line. I continue to Pack and invoice, then go back to PO. One more question is, when I go back to the PO after invoicing Sales Order, it makes me confirm the PO for a second time, is that normal?

Error log- "Postings-

                              Sales Order: ####

                                   ! Quantity must be positive

x A maximum of 0.00 can be entered

x An error occurred during update

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Kellen

RE: 0 Quantity error after posting picking list

I was just getting this "Quantity must be positive" error and was able to resolve it by unchecking "Consolidated Picking" on the Item Model Group

    Hello,

I was also having this issue and this is one way I found to do it.  Not sure if it will work in your situation, but it may be worth a try.

I am not good at inserting the screen shots I had as they did not come over put if you would like me to email this to you let me know.

This is for AX 2012 R2

Creating a Picking List for a Back Order

    1.        To have AX create a new picking list for items that did not ship earlier as they were not on hand, go back to the sales order and under Pick and Pack tab, select the Picking List Registration button.

    2.       Notice the Shipment number in the screen.  Click on the Functions button at the top of the screen.  Select the Open Output Orders.

     3.        At the screen below, select the Number (Sales Order). If this is not on your screen, right mouse click and add it through Personalize

    4.       Click on the Functions button and select Creating Picking Route

    5.        At the next screen click OK

    6.        A couple of screen will pop up, choose Close.

    7.        Back at the Picking Slip registration, you will see a new Shipment has been created with a Handling Status of Activated.   Look below to make sure you back ordered parts are there.

    8.       If all looks good, click on the Updates button up top and then select Update All.

    9.        You can see the Handling Status has been changed to Complete

    10.     At the top of the screen, eslect Print and then select Picking List

    11.     Click OK

    12.    The new Picking List is created.

RE: 0 Quantity error after posting picking list

    Hi,

Good morning, this is the only case of that sales order, I picked and packed all the items quantity except the 1 quantity remaining for delivery, then I put the quantity 1 in the deliver now field, click the Picking list changed the parameter to Deliver now and click OK button, but the system pop up a message like that.  Im trying to fixed this error  but it seems its not working. Is it a bug of AX?  I dont think so that there is a problem with our setup here,, its logic first I packed the first delivery then I packed the remaining delivery, then I cannot proceeds now? So guys is this a bug or what?

    See my screenshots:

    3755.pic05.png

Picture 2. The first packing slip already done with 1 remaining for another delivery.

    3.  Posting of Picking list for undelivered item. Changed parameter to deliver now.

    4.  Error encountered after clicking the OK button.

NOTE:  The credit limit setup is only for warning only, but you could proceeds the transaction as long as there is no problem with posting.  And just curios about the message "THE QUANTITY MUST BE POSITIVE"  as you could see in my deliver now field it is positive.. and my onhand inventory is still available.

    >> I hope somebody here could help me..Thanks in advance..:)

I don't know the complete setup and all related orders and information in your system, so it is hard to give some advise.

The error is related to WMS orders. Check settings for WMS and shipments.

    Hi Kellen,

I'm also facing the same error while making picking slip posting in sales order.

Please fix this error if anyone know the answer for same.
